Robert Pearlman | The American Space Museum & Space Walk of Fame will host its next charity space memorabilia auction on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in Titusville, Florida (and online). Consignments are being accepted through May 15. Proceeds will go to the museum and its programs, including its new 4,000 square foot education center due to open this summer. |
Chuckster01 | Great news, our auction is now online with Invaluable and Auctions.zip. It will also be held live at the museum for all to attend. The auction will not be on eBay as many of the bidders from our last auction did not pay. We still have a few edits to do and a few more last minute items to add, but its a great assortment of items so please take a look and support the American Space Museum & Space Walk of Fame. |
Chuckster01 | Added today lots of new items to our auction with more coming this week. Please take a look, register to bid and help support the American Space Museum. |
Chuckster01 | It would seem that the new lots listed as well as several of our initial lots have severe issues with authenticity. I will be removing 30 lots tomorrow and to all who have bids in on these lots I am truly sorry for not checking before I listed them. I would like to personally give my most sincere thanks to Steve Zarelli, Gerry Montague and Ken Havekotte. These individuals have come to the rescue of the American Space Museum and have prevented me from selling questionable items in our sale. I owe all of you a great debt of gratitude that I can not repay but I want to say in a public forum, thank you. Thank you for your time, thank you for your expertise but most of all thank you for offering all of the above without being asked. You guys are the best! |
Chuckster01 | All lots have been removed. Any lot that had a current bid had to be deleted from the auction and the lot numbers cannot be reused. Any items that did not have bids I will be listing new items under the old lot numbers this weekend to replace the items removed. I have removed every item consigned from both of the people who submitted fakes. They are barred from dealing with the museum both as buyer and sellers. I hope I will never have these issues again. Thank you for your patience and understanding. |
Chuckster01 | A lot of new items added today and more to come in the next 2 days. And to everyone who has sent items to support the American Space Museum and Space Walk of Fame a very sincere THANK YOU. |
Chuckster01 | The auction is this Saturday at noon. it is both online and live at the museum. If you're in Florida please stop by and visit we would love to see you there. |
eems | Has anyone else that won lots still NOT yet recieved an invoice from the auction? I inquired a few weeks ago and understand that it will take the volunteer organization some time but now I'm concerned I missed a communication. |
Chuckster01 | The only people who should not have an invoice are those who had LARGE items and a few international buyers with large posters. I believe there are eight or nine people left to invoice and we are working on it. |
eems | Thanks Chuck! I believe I'm in that small group. |
denali414 | WOW... some nice values to be had on that last auction. Have already bookmarked the November auction to participate — thank you for the head's up. |
Chuckster01 | November auction is looking stellar with more rare items then ever, including a flown Apollo cover, flown Apollo patches and more rare program manuals then I have seen in a single offering. I am truly excited. We also have one of the first space station contractor models from 1964 in its original carrying case with hundreds of pages of photographs and documentation. A one of a kind piece. |
